Are you an accurate laboratory technician with an interest in asbestos analysis and microscopy?
We are looking for a Laboratory technician (polarisation light microscopy) to strengthen our growing laboratory team. Do you enjoy working in a structured way, with an eye for detail and quality? Then this role is for you.
Your responsibilities as a Laboratory Technician
As a PLM laboratory technician, you are responsible for carrying out laboratory tests and analyses on asbestos samples. You maintain and evaluate records so that asbestos experts can add the correct information to their asbestos certificates. You also answer questions from the asbestos expert regarding the analysis.
You assist the quality manager in preparing and checking technical documents, such as specifications, test reports, and quality reports.
Finally, you ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Your profile
There are no specific study requirements, but a basic knowledge of asbestos materials would be a plus.
Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment and test methods isn't essential if you have a healthy curiosity. You can work in a disciplined environment, are accurate, independent, and have problem-solving skills. An eye for detail is a must as a PLM lab technician! You are willing to quickly master new systems and processes.
Experience in the application of quality standards (e.g. ISO) is a plus.
