Whistleblower report

The Belgian Whistleblowing Act of 28 November 2022 requires companies with at least 50 employees to provide a reporting channel for reporting malpractices and fraud.

In line with these regulations, Real Estate Experts has taken the necessary steps to provide a legally compliant hotline.

Who can file a notification?

Only persons who have a work-related relationship with Real Estate Experts can file a report, including:

1. Employees of Real Estate Experts within the meaning of Article 45(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, including civil servants.
2. Self-employed persons carrying out assignments for Real Estate Experts, as referred to in Article 49 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
3. Members of the Board of Real Estate Experts, as well as persons in managerial or supervisory positions, including volunteers and interns (whether paid or unpaid).
4. Persons working under the supervision and direction of Real Estate Experts.
5. Former employees, if they report information about breaches obtained during their employment.
6. Prospective employees, if they became aware of infringements during the application process or pre-contract negotiations.

Who cannot file a notification?

1. Companies that have a business relationship with Real Estate Experts cannot file a whistleblower complaint.
2. Employees of companies that are customers of Real Estate Experts also cannot use this reporting channel.

For complaints about the services of Real Estate Experts, customers and their employees can contact us via the e-mail address klacht@vastgoedexperts.com. These complaints are handled according to an established procedure.

How can you make a notification?

Would you like to report a suspicion or finding of fraud or wrongdoing? You can do this via klokkenluider@vastgoedexperts.com or via the app Signal Messenger on the number +32 487 70 18 45. Through Signal, you can also choose to do so anonymously.

Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt and then our legal department will investigate the report in an impartial manner.

Deadlines?

Confidentiality and protection of reporters are essential pillars of whistleblowing legislation. Vastgoedexperts therefore guarantees discreet treatment and your identity will never be disclosed without permission. Moreover, you will not be adversely affected in any way by a report.
